Rod Groff of Play More Chess Academy and the Hamden Chess Club will join the event staff as Assistant TD.

CSCA announces 2021 Annual Honors of the Connecticut chess community. Awards will be presented between rounds of the State Championship. Among the honorees are Rob Roy (CSCA/Coventry Chess Center), Christopher Potts (Norwalk Chess Club) and Hamden Chess Club. See complete list.

Wesleyan University Chess Club agrees to co-sponsor and host the event at Wesleyan's Exley Science Center. Special thanks to Vibhuv Reddy, WCC President, for all the work in arranging event venue! This may be the first time that the State Championship will be held in Middlesex County.
